Furthermore, I’m already on edge for the third, and final, book of the series. I could not participate in reality because I became so deeply entrenched in this world. There were plenty of times that I questioned how her predicament could possibly get worse. Her character went through so much turmoil and hardship that my heart often ached for her. Though the hero is what I picked up the book for, the heroine of this story, Alejandra, was the fountain of emotional depth for me. I never knew what I was going to get with him which certainly made for a fast-paced read. The way that he could run so hot and cold kept me on my toes and on high alert at all times. Julius’ story felt so different from what we got from Twitch in the first book, but no less addicting. We’re thrown into the world of the underground – dirty, illegal, yet somehow utterly intriguing. “It’s funny how some moments can change your life, shape it, mold it into something unfamiliar, going somewhere foreign, and all you can do is accept the fact or lose the fight. I may have waited years for the follow-up to Raw, but holy heck was it worth that ride!
Belle Aurora is a mastermind at weaving together suspense, action, and romance into jaw-dropping scenes. I’m not going to lie, my brain is such a jumbled mess after reading Dirty that I don’t even know how to form a coherent review. The question was, who would get to me first? They didn’t know I was at the lowest point a person could reach.Īloof, handsome, blue-eyed Julius Carter.
